Bang Chan (방찬), born Christopher Bang on October 3, 1997, is an Australian singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer based in South Korea. He is best known as the leader of the South Korean boy group Stray Kids, formed by JYP Entertainment.
Early Life and Education: Bang Chan was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. He moved to South Korea at a young age to become a trainee at JYP Entertainment.
Career: He began his trainee period at JYP Entertainment in 2010. He formed Stray Kids with fellow trainees and debuted as their leader in 2018. Chan has been heavily involved in the production and songwriting of Stray Kids' music, often credited along with members Changbin and Han as 3RACHA.
3RACHA: Before debuting with Stray Kids, Chan was part of a pre-debut hip-hop trio called 3RACHA with Changbin and Han. Under the name CB97, Chan showcased his producing and songwriting skills.
Leadership: Bang Chan is highly respected for his leadership qualities within Stray Kids. He is known for his dedication to the group and his efforts to support and encourage his members.
